Issue
- When upgrading from Liferay 7.2 to 7.4, the settings stored in the PortletPreferenceValue for the out-of-the-box Announcements widget does not change post-upgrade.
- The issue specifically affects content pages imported from Liferay 7.2
- "Customize Announcements Displayed" feature of the widget is effected--users are unable to adjust the distribution scope for Announcements

- This issue has been verified and is fixed by LPD-39258
- This fix has been included in the product as of 2024.Q3.6 Quarterly Release
