Issue

  • When creating an all-day event that spans from 12:00 AM on one day to 12:00 AM on the next day, the event appears on both days in the calendar month view. Expected behavior is for the event to only be visible on the first day.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.4+

Resolution

  • This is the intended behavior. The event appears on both days because the selected end time falls on the next day.
  • To display the event only on the first day, either:
    1. Change the event's end time to 11:59 PM on the first day.
    2. Use the "All Day" toggle when creating the event instead of manually setting the time to 12:00 AM. This will automatically set the time from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM.
