Issue

  • I am trying to activate my license but received the following error displayed on the screen
ERROR: DXP Production license validation failed java.lang.Exception: Your license does not have any allowed MAC address

Environment

  • DXP 7.0+

Resolution

  • This type of error message is usually presented when the information provided in the license's .xml file does not match the information from the License Manager page (e.g. hostname IP and MAC addresses do not match)
  • To check the information on your License Manager Page, you can follow these two paths:
    • Using direct link {eg. localhost}/c/portal/license
    • From Control Panel > Apps (or App Manager) > License Manager - this is the usual menu path
  • Make sure that they are identical and regenerate your license
