Workflow review has no edit option for Object entries

Issue

• When reviewing an Object entry that was submitted to review, there’s no option to edit, whereas when doing the same for a Web Content article, there’s an option to edit it before approving the change.

• The mentioned behavior can be seen by following these steps:

  1. 1. Create an object with custom fields and publish it
     2. Go to Applications -> Workflow -> Process Builder -> Configuration
     3. Assign a Single Approver workflow to the object created in step 1
     4. Edit a content page and add a Form Container fragment
     5. Map your form to the object created in step 1
     6. Publish the page
     7. Submit an entry using the form
     8. Go to My Workflow Tasks or Notification and find the entry with a pending review

• Liferay DXP 7.4+

• Liferay DXP Quarterly Releases

Resolution

• The fix for this issue was made available by LPD-35176, which can be added to a hotfix. For that, it’s recommended to request one from Liferay Support.

• The fix will likely be available in a new Quarterly Release version in the future as well.
