Issue

  • Users are experiencing issues on the UI with the latest version of Firefox (86.0.1).
  • Steps to reproduce:
    1) Start a clean instance of Liferay 7.0
    2) Open the portal in Firefox version 86.0.1
    3) Open a settings page (or basically any page) with form fields on it
(for example: Instance Settings, Virtual Instances -> Edit the instance, or the Login portlet, etc
Actual behavior: The form fields are short and seem to be broken.
Expected behavior: The form fields look aligned with the page/portlet.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.0 Fix Pack de-97

Resolution

  • The observed behavior is a known bug and fixed in fix-pack-de-99 and above.
  • If the hotfix is required for this issue, please create a support ticket requesting the hotfix by attaching the patch details.
  • Installing Fix Packs and Hotfixes on Liferay DXP will guide you to install the Fixpack/Hotfix in your environment.

Additional Information

  • LPS-128384
  • Try the above activity in a lower environment first, if all works well, then move to the production environment as per your own discretion.
  • Perform these operations in application server downtime, because these steps require the restart of the server.
