Issue

  • What permissions does a role need to edit content pages, including adding, configuring and deleting widgets and fragments in it?

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.2, 7.3

Resolution

  • There are a handful of basic permissions needed for a given role to be able to edit content pages:
    • Pages > Page: Update
    • Pages > Page: Configure Applications
    • Pages > Page: Update Page Content [for 7.3 only]
  • These permissions can be found in Define Permissions >> Site Administration > Site Builder > Pages > RESOURCE PERMISSIONS > PAGE.
