Issue
- Is it safe to limit the database permissions in any way? Can it be customized to use the minimum amount of Database Privilege and still be functional?
Environment
- DXP 7.0+
- Quarterly Release
Resolution
- Liferay's Database Privileges shouldn't be customized or minimalized in any way. Liferay requires the full amount of Database Privilege because it needs to be able to create tables, alter tables (add/remove/change columns/types), delete tables, and rename tables on all tables in its own database.
- Liferay cannot recommend the removal or alteration of permissions as they are all necessary to Liferay.
