Issue

  • Web content with text longer than 10923 characters does not appear in the asset publisher

Environment

  • DXP7.4

solution

  • In the Advanced Settings for Text Fields in Structures, the maximum size is 32766 bytes when "Search for" is set to Keyword (the default setting).

Alphanumeric characters longer than 32767 and Japanese characters longer than 10923 cannot be used as an index and will not be displayed in the asset publisher.

  • As a workaround, try the following settings

Change the "Search for" setting from "Keywords" to "Disable" or "Text Box

    Change to:
Content > Web Content > Structure > Edit applicable structure (⋮) > Text field > Advanced Settings
