Issue

  • The following WARN message populates in the terminal when reindexing:
    WARN  [liferay/background_task-2][IndexerWriterImpl:188] Error reindexing all com.liferay.document.library.kernel.model.DLFileEntry for company: xxxxx
    com.liferay.portal.kernel.exception.SystemException: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: sun/misc/Cleaner

Environment

  • 2023.Q4

Resolution

  • This is a product bug that occurs because the class (sun.misc.Cleaner) has been moved to another package in JDK9.
  • Request a hotfix to include, LPD-22611
