Unable to see the add button to create a new language override key

Issue

  • When create a new user and assigning that user to a newly created regular role, then the add button to create a language override key is not visible to that user.
  • Steps to reproduce:

    1. Navigate to Control Panel > Users > Roles.
    2. Create a new regular role.
    3. Click on the 'Define Permissions' tab inside the newly created role.
    4. Inside the permission, go to 'Configuration' > 'Language Override'. Check all the permissions in the 'Application Permission'.
    3. Navigate to the Control Panel > Users > Users and Organizations and create a new user.
    4. Inside the role section, add the regular role created in step 1.
    5. Now, sign in as the created user and go to the 'Language override' in the control panel.

    Expected Behavior: The add button should be visible to create a new language key.
    Observed Behavior: The add button is not visible.

Environment

  • 2023 Q4.0

Resolution

  • 1. Navigate to 'Control Panel' > Users > Roles.
    2. Inside the role, go to 'Define permission' > 'General permissions' inside the control panel.
    3. Then click the checkbox of 'Manage Language Overrides'.
    4. Now sign in as the created user.
    Result: The add button is visible to add a new language override key.
