Issue
- Cannot deploy certain App/plugins because of an "Unable to write ..." error. Some symptoms of this are:
- The App just sits in the deploy folder.
- The following error is reported in the log repeatedly:
2019-04-02 22:35:17.574 ERROR [com.liferay.portal.kernel.deploy.auto.AutoDeployScanner][AutoDeployDir:?] Unable to write Liferay Connector to SAML 2.0 .lpkg
Environment
- Liferay DXP 7.0, Liferay DXP 7.1
Resolution
- To resolve this issue, please grant the current system (OS) user read/write permissions to Liferay platform related folders. For example:
${liferay.home}/deploy
-
${liferay.home}/osgi" and its sub-folders.
