Issue

  • Activating the same tab on different pages.
  • Steps to reproduce
    1.  Navigate to Site Menu > Design > Page fragment
    2. Click on the add button and create a master page.
    3. Now, drag and drop the 'Tabs' under the basic component onto the master page. Click on 'Publish Master'
    4. Then create pages with the master page that we have created.
    5. Now, navigate to Site Menu > Design > page fragment and edit the master page. Then link each tab title with the different page.
    6. Click on the tab component and hover over the title of the tab.
    7. Then navigate to the right side of the page, click on the link, and select the page in the Link section.
    8. Add the particular page with the particular tab in the page section.
    9. Visit the pages through the 'page tree'
Expected Behavior: It should activate the different tabs on different pages according to the pages that we have linked.
Observed Behavior: It is activating the same tab on different pages.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.4

Resolution

  • The observed behavior is the intended behavior of DXP 7.4. The function of the tab is to add multiple tabs with simple text elements and individual drop zones for adding widgets and other fragments. It means tabs are connected with elements: Fragment Sub-Elements Reference and not with navigation.
