Troubleshooting Slow File Uploads on Sites with Many Pages

Issue

  • When uploading new files to Documents & Media in a site with a high number of pages, you may exerience unusually slow upload speeds. This performance issue may be isolated to individual site contributions.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.4 and Quarterly Releases.

Resolution

When experiencing slow upload times due to the behavior described in LPD-66693, you must create a default Display Page Template to bypass the issue.

  1. Create a new Display Page Template for your document structure (e.g., the Basic Document type).

  2. Mark the template as Default.

  3. Upload the documents again.

If the above issue is irrelevant or do not resolve the behavior, check whether you may be impacted by LPS-202905
