The HTML tags are added by the editor when editing content in the Content editor

Issue

• When editing content in the Content editor, the HTML tags are being added by the editor.
• Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Login to Liferay 7.1 as Liferay Admin
  2. Navigate to Control Panel -> Announcements and Alerts
  3. Click on -> Enter title
  4. For content -> select Code view </> -> Enter plain text
  5. Select distribution scope -> Click on Save button
  6. Now edit the content -> select Code view </> -> Notice the HTML tags along with text
  Expected Behavior: HTML tags </> do not appear when editing content
  Observed Behavior: HTML tags </> appear when editing content

• Liferay DXP 7.1

Resolution

• The observed behavior is the intended and recommended behavior in CKEditor. Every new block is placed between the <p> tags.

  But changing the Enter Mode setting to BR or DIV is not recommended. The default CKEDITOR.ENTER_P mode is fully supported by all editor features and plugins and is also the most correct one in terms of best practices for creating web content.
  If users want to change it to control paragraph spacing, then they should use stylesheets instead. For example:
  

  p { margin: 0; }
