Issue

  • When creating a Form in Chinese(or any other language), add a "Select from List" filed, the default displayed content "Choose an Option" is not changed to Chinese.form-select-text.png

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.1

Resolution

  • The default displayed content language in the Form select drop-down list is following the site default language setting.
  • Add a Language Selector portlet onto the page, change the language to Chinese. Then the display content "Choose an Option" will be changed to "选择一个选项".
