Issue
- When using the Search Sort widget to order the search results by a structure field, it results in different ordering when viewing the page in different languages.
- The selected structure field is marked as localizable.
Environment
- Liferay DXP (Any version)
Resolution
- If a structure field is marked as localizable, it's expected that it can have different values for different languages.
- If the value should be the same independent of language (for example, a date or numeric field), it should be marked as non-localizable.
- If the field must be localizable, it must have available translations with their appropriate values in order for the sorting to work properly. The absence of a value in a given language makes it so that the results order cannot be guaranteed.
