Issue 

  • The products will be in the wrong order when users use any other language than the default language

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.4
  • Commerce 4.0

Resolution

  • Currently sorting products by name works only with the indexed default language when using the Sort widget in Liferay Commerce. In multilanguage sites, this is a concern as the products will be in the wrong order when users use any other language than the default language.
  • For this, a feature request has been already submitted which can be tracked here: LPS-197646

  • Please be aware that the implementation of new ideas within Liferay products is entirely dependent on their evaluation or investigations since this will need modifying our existing product code, therefore there will be no ETA on this, but users can certainly vote for it.
