Issue
- Sites may have inconsistencies in their language definitions where the default locale is not included in the list of available locales after create or update the sites.
- Example inconsistencies in the
name column of the Group_ table:
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?><root available-locales="en_US" default-locale="ca_ES"><Name language-id="en_US">Law & Philosophy Group</Name></root><?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?><root available-locales="en_US" default-locale="ca_ES"><Name language-id="en_US">UPF Core Facilities</Name></root><?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?><root available-locales="es_ES,en_US" default-locale="ca_ES"><Name language-id="es_ES">Josep Maria Raya</Name><Name language-id="en_US">Josep Maria Raya</Name></root>
Resolution
- The product is designed to handle this situation. Liferay has a filter that manages cases where the default locale is not among the available locales. If the locale is not active, the instance-level locale configuration is returned.
- No manual intervention is necessary
