Issue

After configuring SOLR, search option under Site Membership is not visible.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.0
  • SOLR Server 5.2.1

Resolution

If you are not getting the search option under Site membership then the issue is resolved in fix-pack de-35 or above and the latest Solr plugin 1.0.1. Once you update the Solr Plugin and use the fixpack de-35 or above you will observe that the search option is available under Site Membership.

To download the latest fix pack go to the help center and install the fix pack following the Installation Instructions on the same link. Also, download the latest Solr Plugin from the marketplace.

Please Note:

Liferay Solr 5 Search Engine 1.0.1 requires the installation of the Liferay Digital Enterprise 7.0 Fix Pack 35 or higher.

Additional Information

1) Try the above activity in a testing environment first, if all works well according to you, then move to the production environment as per your discretion.
2) Keep the backup of your existing environment before installing the fix.
3) Perform these operations in application server downtime, because these steps require the restart of the server.
4) Please delete {liferay_home}/work, OSGi/state and  Tomcat/temp and work and then start the server.
