Issue
- After setting up a scheduled publication of a site from staging to live and adding new contents, these contents are not shown in the live environment when the scheduled date arrives.
Resolution
- This may be the expected behavior depending on whether unpublished contents exist at the moment of setting the scheduled publication:
- If at the moment of setting up the publication there are unpublished contents, there will be an associated option to publish them. These contents (and any new contents created thereafter) will be published when the date arrives if the option is checked.
- If at the moment of setting up the publication there are no unpublished contents, there won't be an associated option to publish. No created contents will be published when the date arrives, not even newly created ones.
- Use Publish Templates to define a scheduled publication process that will publish any unpublished contents when the scheduled date arrives.
- When adding a Publish Template it's possible to select any of the elements active under the staging framework, even if there are no elements to publish.
- To add a new scheduled publication process do it based on the Publish Template created before. In this case there won't be an option to select which contents to publish because the configuration is obtained from the template.
