Issue

  • I would like to remove portlets from pages programmatically (e.g. with a script or a background job) with the use of the removePortletId method, but without permission checking.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.0+

Resolution

  • The removePortletId method always invokes the permission checker, which is the intended behavior of the method, therefore it can only be used to remove portlets by users who have the required permissions.
  • As a workaround, a user with the required permissions can be used when invoking the method.
