Publishing child pages to Live without their parents

Issue
- We have a staging environment with a multi-level page structure containing many child pages
- When we try to publish the child pages separately, using the page selection in the advanced publication, the changes made on their parent pages get also published to the Live environment
- How can we do a staging publication where only the child pages' changes will be published?
Resolution
- Publishing child pages together with all of their parent pages in the hierarchy is the intended behavior in DXP versions due to the Liferay engineers' design decisions

However, we have recently revisited the feature and added an option to be able to publish child pages individually. That will require LPS-124180 and after installing the fix a configuration change will also be needed.
- This story was included in:
- Liferay 7.2 Fix Pack 17.
- Liferay 7.3 Fix Pack 4.
- Liferay 7.4.
- Changing this feature is only applied for Staging, exporting a Site to a LAR file will contain all the Parent Pages. In the case of a LAR file, we cannot guarantee that the Parent Pages already exist on the import side.
