Issue

  • Web Content Editor contains 150 repeating HTML fields, CKEditors, on a single page causing Chrome Browser to not load completely or crash

Environment

  • Observed in Liferay DXP 7.3

Resolution

  • This has been observed to be a product limitation.
  • Reducing the amount of HTML fields, CKEditors, on a single page will prevent this behavior from occurring.

  • 40 HTML fields, CKEditors, has been tested to work, although this is also heavily impacted by the environment where Liferay is run and client's internet connectivity.

  • Please switch to Firefox or Edge browsers as the impact is not observed in these browsers
