Issue
-
There is a missing path in search results for web content.
-
Steps to Reproduce:
1) Create 2 web content folders - folder 1 and folder 2
2) Create contents in those 2 folders with common words in the title i.e. author
3) Create a new role with permission to access the control panel and web content (I used Portal Content Reviewer)
4) Grant view and access permission to the new role for folder 1 and grant only access permission to folder 2
5) Create a new user assigned with the new role
6) Login as the new user and search 'author' in web content and change the view to the table
7) Observe the contents from folder 2 are missing path information in the search results and the other columns are shifted to the left.
Expected Behavior: The file path information is correct
Observed Behavior: The file path information is shifted to the left and incorrect.
Environment
- Liferay DXP 7.2 Fix Pack 2
Resolution
- The observed behavior is a known Liferay DXP issue that has been resolved by LPS-139184
- Additionally, if a user has permission to view an article, he should only see the parts of the path that he is permitted to see. Those parts which that user is not allowed to view should be replaced with an ellipsis.
