Log4j warnings after upgrading to Fix Pack 15

Issue

  • After upgrading Liferay DXP 7.2 to Fix Pack 15, the following warnings and error are printed in the logs on startup: 
    log4j:WARN Continuable parsing error 3 and column 30
    log4j:WARN Document root element "Configuration", must match DOCTYPE root "null".
    log4j:WARN Continuable parsing error 3 and column 30
    log4j:WARN Document is invalid: no grammar found.
    log4j:ERROR DOM element is - not a <log4j:configuration> element.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.1
  • Liferay DXP 7.2
  • Liferay DXP 7.3

Resolution

  • Please install Liferay DXP 7.2 Fix Pack 17+ or Liferay DXP 7.3 Service Pack 3+
  • Or request a Hotfix with the LPS-141944 to resolve the issue.
