Issue

  • The portal redirects automatically to the LCS Activation Page even with activation tokens deployed.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.0+

Resolution

  •  Regenerate the LCS tokens, but with "Liferay Instance Activation" option on 'Yes'. Once the tokens are regenerated with that option set to 'Yes', please deploy the newly generated tokens.

Additional Information

  • This option was added, as in the past there were customers who wanted to use XML based licenses, as well as the features that LCS provides. This option basically toggles the portal to activate through LCS, and not through an XML based license, thus LCS trying to validate a non existent XML license.
