Issue with Selected Categories in Asset Category Selector

Issue

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Set up a vanilla 7.2 with the latest fix pack and start it.
  2. Go to Categorization->Categories and create some Vocabulary (the more vocabulary the better chances to reproduce it).
  3. In each Vocabulary create some Categories.
  4. In each Category create subcategories. Note: You should create more categories and each more subcategory in order to reproduce the case.
  5. Go to Content & Data->Web Content and create a Basic Web Content, then to the right side find "Metadata" and the Vocabulary and click on "Select".
  6. A popup appears, now select a few categories and click on "Add".
  7. Now click "Select" again and select other categories and delete the previously selected ones, then Add and quickly try to select again.

Actual Result: The new selected categories appear and the ones or some of the removed ones that were previously selected.

Expected Result: Only the selected categories should appear.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.2

Resolution

  • The observed behavior is a known issue/bug and has been fixed in dxp-5.
  • If the hotfix is required for this issue, please create a support ticket requesting a hotfix by attaching patch details.
  • Installing Fix Packs and Hotfixes on Liferay DXP will guide to install this hotfix in the respective environment.
