Issue

  • I want to restart a service (such as the Liferay service) on my Liferay PaaS environment.

Environment

  • Liferay PaaS

Resolution

  • Go to https://console.liferay.cloud/ and sign in with your credentials
  • Locate the environment in question that includes the specific service that you will want to restart (e.g., prd, dev, etc.)
  • Go to Services on the left-hand menu.
  • Locate the service that you are attempting to restart from Services
  • Click the ⁝ (more options) icon on the far right-hand side of the Liferay service
  • Click on Restart Service
  • You should then see a message indicating "Restart service request sent. [SERVICE NAME] will restart soon. Inspect logs"

Prior to restarting a service please note that this will cause your service to be unavailable until it is completely restarted. It is advised that you inform your end-users of planned maintenance, and perform the operations during a scheduled window during non-peak hours.
