I cannot schedule web content using a date in the past

Issue

  • I have an issue with the web content scheduling. I set the time zone of the user's OS to CET while the user and the server are set to UTC (by default). I create web content and schedule it to be less than 1 hour in the future (compared to the time on the user's PC, but the time on the server log will be 1 hour earlier than the scheduled one). As I click on schedule, I receive the UI error: Error: The date entered is in the past.

Reproduction Steps:

1. Start 2025.q1.12
2. Make sure that your admin user's timezone is set to UTC from Control Panel --> Users and Organizations --> click on Test Test, under the Preferences tab, click on Display Settings, and check the Time Zone.
3. Go to Control Panel --> Instance Settings --> Platform --> Localization, and under Time Zone, make sure that it is set to UTC.
4. Set your OS timezone to CET (for example, Budapest).
5. Go to the DXP site --> Content and Data --> Web Content, add basic web content with a title, click on the Publish menu, and select 
Schedule Publication.
6. On the Popup, set the date for the day of your testing, and set the time (UTC) for 1 hour less than the time displayed on your PC (for example, your PC time is 9:00 am, set the time for 8:00 am). Notice that the time on the server log is two hours earlier than your PC (7:00 am) and 1 hour less than the scheduled one.

Actual Result: The time is not set, and you see the error: Error: The date entered is in the past.

Expected Result: The time should be set successfully as it is 1 hour in the future than the server's time.

Resolution

  • The case has been resolved by LPD-56362. Please submit a ticket to request a hotfix.
