Issue
- With Liferay DXP, all the deployable wars move from {LIFERAY_HOME}/deploy into {LIFERAY_HOME}/osgi/war/ directory as a war file. But in Liferay 6.2 it used to be deployed as an exploded content into JBOSS_HOME/deployments directory. With this change in Liferay DXP, now it is not possible to access the exploded content at all.
Resolution
- As of Liferay DXP 7.0, which utilizes OSGi modularization, war files are handled in OSGI container and not rely on application servers. Therefore, we are not able to deploy wars in the exploded format in DXP 7.0+.
