Issue
- One of the methods to complete the verification process required to add a website to a Bing Webmaster Tools account is uploading a XML file to the root directory of the website and make it available on a specific URL.
Environment
Resolution
- Upload the XML file to your Documents and Media folder
- Copy the download link of the XML file
- Create a new page using the type "Link to an URL" and associate the link copied in the step before
- Use the URL of the new page to validate the ownership in the Bing Webmaster Tools
