Issue

Users should redirect to the Logout page whenever they refresh the page (CTRL+R) or attempt to reload the page from anywhere in the application.

Environment

Liferay DXP 7.2

Resolution

There is no portal property or out-of-the-box feature that would help here to achieve this requirement.

Additional Information

A web page refresh does not cause a server session to terminate or to start over. The session is a user-based (client-based) variable that will be created and stored when the user's first request is sent to the server, as a result, only the expiration time will be reset when the user refreshes a page that is currently being rendered. Since the server created a session before the user refreshed the page and remembered them by key (sessionId), this then puts on user's system in cookie mode.
