Issue
- How to give permission to the specific authorized person to access and edit the specific fragments.
- Currently, the admin can edit and access the fragments.
Environment
- Liferay DXP 7.3
- Liferay DXP 7.4
- Liferay DXP Q3.1
- Liferay DXP Q3.2
Resolution
- Create a fragment, navigate to the
Product Menu ->Design ->Fragments and publish it.
- Navigate to
Control Panel ->Roles -> Select Role ->Define permissions ->Site and Asset Library Administration ->Design ->Fragments ->General Permissions and select Access in Site and Asset Library Administration.
- Now, select the "Manage Fragment Entries" and "Permissions" in
Resource Permission section, navigate to Control Panel ->Roles -> (Select Role) ->Define permissions ->Site and Asset Library Administration ->Design ->Fragments ->Resource Permission and select all the options and save them.
- Select the user to whom you want to give access for fragments, navigate to
Control Panel ->Roles ->(Select Role) ->Assignees section, and click on the "+" icon to select the specific user.
- Now, after all the changes in the admin portal, log in with the "new user" in the browser's new tab and navigate to the
Product Menu ->Design ->Fragments section, where you can see the admin portal's fragments, which you can access and edit now with the new user.
