Issue

  • How to find the default CKeditor version in the Liferay instance.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.0
  • Liferay DXP 7.2

Resolution

  • Steps to find the version of the CKeditor in the Liferay instance:
    • In the portal, click on "add the blog entry" which will open the CKEditor in the UI of the portal.
    • Inspect the browser page of the portal
    • Go to the browser console, type CKEDITOR.version
    • This will display the current version of the CKeditor in the browser console. Please refer to the example snapshot for the same.

  • By default, the CKeditor version for the
    • DXP 7.0 FP90 is "4.11.3". 
    • DXP 7.2 FP2 is "4.11.4".
