How to disable the blue redirection box

Issue

• Navigate to the home page and change the URL http://localhost:8080/en/web/guest to http://localhost:8080/en-au/web/guest or http://localhost:8080/en-gb/web/guest and hit the URLs, the blue pop-up appears on the bottom left corner with the following message.

Success:
You were redirected to https://[environment_url]/en/web/ca/home .

• Liferay DXP [all versions]

Resolution

• This concern is the intended behavior of Liferay, however, the feature to disable the pop-up is present in 2023.Q4.0 Quarterly Release, navigate to Control Panel > Instance Settings > Content And Data > Pages and uncheck the “Show Alternative Layout Friendly URL Message” option and save it.
• Now when users hit the URLs http://localhost:8080/en-au/web/guest or http://localhost:8080/en-gb/web/guest, the pop-up does not appear.

• This feature was added to the 2023.Q4.0 Quarterly Release so it is not something Liferay can backport. Therefore, if users want this feature in Liferay 7.4 (in the below versions), then they can achieve this functionality through customization to disable the pop-up.

• The most recommended approach is to always upgrade Liferay DXP to the most recent update, i.e., 2023.Q4.0 Quarterly Release, as this not only resolves the existing bugs but also introduces any new feature.
