Issue
- By making a number of custom publications the page order between the Staging and the Live sites can be out of sync. This is a limitation that is caused by publishing only a set of pages and not the whole page-tree.
Environment
- Liferay Portal 6.2
- Liferay DXP 7.0
- Liferay DXP 7.1
- Liferay DXP 7.2
- Liferay DXP 7.3
- Liferay DXP 7.4
Resolution
Whenever you come across the problem, we can offer the following workarounds as resolution:
- By publishing the complete Page-tree from Staging the ordering will be every time in sync. This approach can ensure you that the page priority will be identical in both sites.
- The earlier approach can also work on a page-level. By publishing the specific page-level the priority will be identical in both sites.
