How apply changes to Tomcat's server.xml file in Liferay PaaS

Issue

I need to make some changes in Tomcat's server.xml file, but don't know how to do it in a Cloud environment.

Liferay PaaS

Resolution

There are two methods to override the necessary Tomcat files in a Cloud environment:

1. You may craft a script that performs the changes.

2.a Copy the contents of the file from the liferay service in opt/liferay/tomcat/conf/server.xml and place that into your local project workspace under configs/common/tomcat/conf/server.xml (you may need to create this folder path).

2.b Modify server.xml's host section as per Tomcat's documentation.

2.c Push the changes to your project.
