Issue

  • When importing a site template, the following message appears and the import fails
    An unexpected error occurred while publishing.Check portal settings and public settings."

Environment

  • DXP7.0+

solution

  • This event occurs when web content created on the site template uses the global site structure template.
    There are two possible solutions

    Export the global site structure template and import it to the global site in the environment where the error occurs
    - On the site template side, adjust the content that references the global site.
