Issue

  • I would like to install Liferay Developer Studio on a MacBook Pro M1 computer
  • When trying to install an error message is received "LiferayWorkspace-[date]-osx-installer" cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified

Environment

  • DXP 7.0+

Resolution

  • This is on the roadmap to solve
  • You can follow the initiative here
  • While this is being worked on by our team a potential workaround in the meantime would be to:
    • Hold down the option key when you try to launch the installer, you should get an extra button that should allow you to install
