Issue

Fragment Changes don't get reflected on page after editing

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.2
  • Liferay DXP 7.3

Resolution

Follow these steps to enable automatic Page Fragment propagation:

  1. Navigate to Control Panel -> Configuration -> System Settings
  2. Click Page Fragments under the Content and Data heading
  3. Enable the Propagate Fragment Changes Automatically setting and click Save to apply the changes

Additional Information 

  • Automatic Page Fragment Propagation enabled only for development testing otherwise, it can lead to unintended consequences in the production environment, such as typos or inaccurate content being published.
  • It only works for HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Page Fragment code, not the editable values
