Issue
- How do I disable the default Login Portlet to prevent any guest accounts from being created.
Resolution
-
In order to prevent any guest accounts from being created please follow these steps:
- On the control panel navigate to Configuration, then Instance Settings
- Select User Authentication
- There should be two boxes labeled
- Allow strangers to create accounts?
- Allow strangers to create accounts with a company email address?
- Uncheck those two boxes
- Save
Now if you sign out and return to the login page the option to create a new account is gone, users may only sign in with pre-existing accounts.
