Issue

  • Steps to reproduce:
    1.
    Start Liferay DXP 7.4 U83.
    2. Navigate to Categories > Categorization
    3. Create a vocabulary.
    4. Inside vocabulary, create a category.
    5. Now, edit this category > Navigate to Images > Upload an image > Publish.
    6. Navigate to document & media and delete this image (make sure to delete from Document Media, not on category image section)
    7. Now delete it from the Recycle bin.
    8. Navigate to the created category again > Images section.
Observed Behavior: Image is not listed in the images section of the category; however, their references are visible in the 'CPAttachementFileEntry' table.
Expected Behavior: When category images are deleted from Document & Media portlet, references must not be shown in the 'CPAttachmentFileEntry' table.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.4
  • Commerce 4.0

Resolution

  • The observed behavior is a known Liferay DXP bug which has been addressed in Liferay DXP 7.4 Update 100.
