Issue

  • After setting up a Liferay cluster, the cluster won't be properly established.
  • There's a suspicious trace in the logs
    INFO  [SCR Component Actor][JGroupsClusterChannelFactory:130] Autodetecting JGroups outgoing IP address and interface for false:80

Environment

  • Liferay Quarterly Release 2025.Q1

Resolution

  • The suspicious trace shouldn't show false:80. Instead it should show the value of the property cluster.link.autodetect.address, that is, a domain and a port.
  • Review this property in your file portal-ext.properties and make sure there are no other *.properties files that could be interfering.
