Issue

  • Despite making changes to LDAP connection settings through Control Panel > Instance Settings > LDAP > Connection, those changes don't go into effect, and the default settings are used when connecting to the LDAP server.
    • For example, despite setting com.sun.jndi.ldap.connect.timeout=900, when testing an LDAP connection, I see in DEBUG logs that the timeout is still at 500 (default value):
      2021-05-13 17:37:07.104 DEBUG [http-nio-8080-exec-9][SafePortalLDAPImpl:466]
      {java.naming.provider.url=ldap://192.168.1.15:10389,
      java.naming.factory.initial=com.sun.jndi.ldap.LdapCtxFactory,
      com.sun.jndi.ldap.connect.timeout=500, com.sun.jndi.ldap.connect.pool=true
      ...

Environment

  • DXP 7.3

Resolution

  • This behavior is reported in and fixed under LPS-132255. Please create a Help Center ticket requesting a new hotfix that includes LPS-132255 or install Fix Pack 2 (scheduled for future release).
