Issue

  • When the catalog page is rendering it is observed that it takes about 10-15 seconds to completely render the page for Minium theme and renderer type is Minium.

Environment

  • Commerce 

Resolution

  • The reason is that there are many image requests for the catalog. The recommendation is to upload those images to either a static CDN server or to a cache server and serve the resources from there. 
  • Otherwise, there is no way to reduce response time since images are queued to wait for available browser threads.
