Issue

  • Is there an API to update custom field settings?

Environment

  • 7.4+

solution

  • To update custom fields,
    com.liferay.portlet.expando.service.impl.ExpandoValueServiceImpl /expandovalue/add-value
    is available.
    The API in question can be checked at "http://localhost:8080/api/jsonws".

    Below are the parameter settings (parameter name: database column name) when we checked the operation.
    • companyId: Company.companyId
    • className: ClassName_.value
    • ClassName_: ExpandoTable.name
    • columnName: ExpandoColumn.name
    • classPK: ExpandoValue.classPK (specify user ID)
    • Data: Actual value to be set
