Issue

  • Users should schedule web content to be visible on Staging. When they set a display date for web content, it does not appear in either the Live or Staging sites until that date is reached. However, in order to better manage the assets, it is required to have access to all current and future content on the Staging site.

Environment

  • Liferay DXP 7.3
  • Liferay DXP 7.4

Resolution

  • It is not feasible for display dates to only apply to the live site using the OOTB functionality of the portal, however, a feature request LPS-156829 has been submitted to allow for this.

Additional Information

  • Please note that the exact implementation will depend on the product team's decision, and the new feature can only be added to future Liferay releases.
