After clicking on the invite link, a Workspace Error is displayed

Issue

  • I was invited to an Analytics workspace.
    When I click on the link in the invitation e-mail, the following message is shown:
    Workspace Error Either this workspace does not exist or you do not have access to it. Make sure you have typed the correct workspace URL or check with the workspace administrator for access.

Environment

  • Analytics Cloud

Resolution

This behavior happens in the following 2 cases. 

  1. Analytics Cloud was not configured for the first time.

    Solution: use analytics.liferay.com instead of the full workspace link (e.g. https://analytics.liferay.com/workspace/12345), and complete the configuration steps by visiting from the list of users.

  2. The invited user was removed: this means that the user is visiting a workspace that they no longer have access to.

    Solution: they should request access again from an administrator of the workspace.
