Issue

  • Site Administrators are unable to add user groups as members of the site they manage.

Environment

  • DXP 7.0+

Resolution

  • This is currently an intended behavior as the Site Administrator role by default does not have the permissions to view and update User Groups. A Feature Request ticket has been created to request that Site Administrators and Site Owners by default have the ability to assign User Groups to their sites:  LPS-79660
  • In the meantime, a temporary workaround can be implemented by creating and assigning a new regular role with the following permissions:
    • User Groups > User Group: Update
    • User Groups > User Group: View

With this additional role, users with the Site Administrator role should be able to assign user groups to a site.
