This article describes how to add sites, roles or user groups to a user automatically.

Resolution

  1. Go to Control Panel
  2. Select Portal Settings
  3. Select the Users section
  4. Select the tab for Default User Associations
  5. Add name of site, role or user groups in the relevant fields

Notice that any new user added to the portal should now receive the user associations mentioned above.

Please note that the control panel interface changes in Liferay Portal from version to version. The exact steps for accessing the control panel and portal settings may differ depending on the Liferay Portal version you are using.
